Mio, a social commerce startup focused on smaller cities, raised USD8m

Mio announced that it has received $8 million in a round of funding led by new investors Jungle Ventures Pte. Ltd., Patamar Capital, and individual investor Oliver Jung on January 17, 2022. The transaction also included participation from other existing investors Venturra Discovery, a fund managed by Venturra Capital, iSeed SEA, Hustle Fund Management, LLC, and individual investor Gokul Rajaram. The company raised $9.1 million in funding till date.

Vietnam's largest blockchain gaming guild Ancient8 raised USD4m

Ancient8 announced that it has received $4 million in a round of funding co-led by the new investors Pantera Advisors LLC, #Hashed, and Dragonfly Capital Partners on January 19, 2022. The transaction included participation from other new investors Mechanism Capital, Coinbase Ventures, Alameda Research LLC, 3twelve Capital,Coin98 Ventures, Kyros Ventures, Raydium, Jump Capital, LLC, GuildFi, Impossible Finance, Animoca Brands Corporation Limited, Mirana Ventures, Chromia, sipher, Smrti Lab, Folius Ventures LLC, PANONY LIMITED, Shima Capital, C2 Ventures, SkyVision Capital, and individual investors Trung Nguyen, Loi Luu, Santiago R. Santos, and Nick Chong.

Blockchain gaming Skrice Studios raised USD5.5m

Skrice Studios announced that it has received $5,500,000 in its seed round of funding led by new investor, Binance Labs on January 21, 2022. The transaction includes participation from new investors, Genblock Capital, Delphi Digital Inc., Mechanism Capital, Alameda Research Ventures, Animoca Brands Corporation Limited, Yield Guild Games, Yield Guild Games Southeast Asia, Exnetwork Capital, Double Peak Group, Merit Circle and HashKey Capital.

Real Estate

CapitaLand successfully divested its Grade A office building in Hanoi for USD559m

An unknown buyer agreed to acquire Capital Place in Hanoi from CapitaLand Vietnam Commercial Value-Added Fund managed by CapitaLand Investment Limited (SGX:9CI) for approximately SGD 750 million on January 20, 2022. The agreed value of the property was arrived on a willing-buyer and willing-seller basis. Upon completion of the transaction, CVCVF will be fully divested and closed.

Gia Duc Real Estate will receive USD52m funding from Novaland

Gia Duc Real Estate Co., Ltd. announced that it will receive an equity round of funding for VND 1,180,000,000,000 from returning investor Novaland Investment Joint Stock Company on January 19, 2022. After completion, the investor will own VND 3,389,845,600,000 of capital contribution accounting for 99.995% of charter capital of the company. The transaction was approved by the board of the investor.

Sports Gear Co., Ltd. acquired 30% stake in All Wells International Co.,Ltd for USD70m

Sports Gear Co., Ltd. (TWSE:6768) acquired 30.51771% stake in All Wells International Co.,Ltd for $70 million on January 18, 2022. The consideration consists of 18,666,666 shares for $3.75 per unit of All Wells International. The Board of directors of Sports Gear Co., Ltd. have approved the acquisition.

Ngoc Nghia Industry-Service-Trading Joint Stock Company offered USD94m for being acquired

Indorama Netherlands B.V. offered to acquire Ngoc Nghia Industry-Service-Trading Joint Stock Company for VND 2 trillion on January 10, 2022. Under the terms, offer price is VND 26,219 per share. The transaction is expected to be completed by the first half of 2022. Allen & Overy acted as legal advisor to Indorama.

SeleX Motors JSC received USD2.1m in a round of funding led by Touchstone Partners

SeleX Motors JSC announced that it has received $2.1 million in a round of funding led by Touchstone Partners on January 20, 2022. The transaction also included participation from ADB Ventures, and Nextrans.

APG Securities Joint Stock Company announced a private placement of 75,000,000 shares at a price of VND 18,000 per share for gross proceeds of VND 1,350,000,000,000 on January 6, 2022. The transaction included participation from professional investors. The transaction is approved by the board of directors.

SSB is offering shareholders rights to raise USD119m

Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (HOSE: SSB) announced a rights offering wherein the shareholders will receive 1 right for each share owned by them as on record date January 18, 2022. Every 100 such rights will entitle them to subscribe for 12.2633 shares.

The subscription period and payment period is from January 26, 2022 to February 28, 2022.

The rights can be transferred from January 26, 2022 to February 22, 2022. The rights should be transferred only once.
