Marico acquires 75% stake in Skinetiq
Marico South East Asia Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Marico Limited, signed a definitive agreement to acquire a 75% equity stake in Skinetiq JSC, a Vietnamese direct-to-consumer beauty and personal care company, in a transaction valued at c. USD30 million. The acquisition strengthens Marico’s expansion into Southeast Asia’s fast-growing digital beauty segment.

TheVentures completes buyout of Chicken Plus Vietnam
South Korean venture capital firm TheVentures completed the buyout of Chicken Plus Vietnam, transitioning from minority investor to full ownership of the Korean fried chicken franchise operator in Vietnam. Transaction value was not disclosed.

Mitsubishi acquires Thuan An 1 residential project from Phat Dat
Mitsubishi Corporation acquired the Thuan An 1 residential development project from Phat Dat Real Estate Development Corporation in a transaction valued at c. USD73 million, forming a partnership to jointly develop the project in Ho Chi Minh City.

Infrastructure

Abu Dhabi-based G42, Vietnam consortium form USD1 billion data centre partnership
Abu Dhabi-based artificial intelligence and cloud computing company G42 partnered with a Vietnamese consortium comprising FPT Corporation and Viet Thai Group to develop sovereign AI and cloud infrastructure in Vietnam in a partnership valued at c. USD1 billion. The initiative will deploy large-scale cloud capacity across multiple data centre locations nationwide to support AI computing workloads and national digital infrastructure development.
